[Finally feeling better and able to go out, Okita was having quite a good time seeing everyone else's changes. It wasn't until he woke up this morning and tried to roll out of bed that he noticed something was wrong.

Very wrong.

But, perhaps people wouldn't notice.

Thus, Okita goes about his normal routine. As a woman. He's busy trying to cover that up, however, with a little padding around the waist and by keeping to his usual attire. Particularly attentive people, however, might notice he has a slight bust now and his voice is just a little higher than usual.

People can find him anywhere, from House 50 to the town getting supplies to the Welcome Center or even out on patrols.

Mm....I don't know. Do you think I have been?
consultmybooks: (Deeply Concerned)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-23 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
W-Well, it doesn't seem like it to me.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-23 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Then let's leave it at that, hm?

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-24 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Let's leave it at that.

...I wonder if the Malnosso can control the weather.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't be surprised. They can trap us here and do all sorts of things, so why not the weather, too?
consultmybooks: (Neither amused nor impressed)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-24 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
It's been years since I've seen snow that was actually...well, caused by the weather.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Is there no natural snow in America?
consultmybooks: (Default)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-24 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Plenty, in certain areas. California is not one of them - the last snow we had was literal divine intervention.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I was unaware of that... Is California very hot?
consultmybooks: (Consult my Books)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-24 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Very hot. All year. It's near the ocean, so that contributes to it.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
How strange. Many of our cities are near the ocean, but it still snows. California sounds like such an exotic country.

[He laughs] A lot of people think of it that way, even in America. I don't, but then again I live there.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, is it not a country? I'm not well versed in foreign countries.
consultmybooks: (Consult my Books)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-24 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
America is the country.

Then you have fifty different states...provinces...that can function a little more independently of one another. California is one of the states.
consultmybooks: (Music Man)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-24 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, actually. Very much like a han, in many ways.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Then I understand now. America is such a big country with so many people in it. I always wondered what it would be like.

It was a very different place between your time and mine. It was...rather chaotic, but there were worse places to live. And I'd probably have liked it better if we hadn't had the Hellmouth.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see. Well, I wouldn't want to go in my time anyway. I may be fighting for the Shogunate, but that doesn't mean I like these foreigners invading our shores and forcing themselves upon us.

[Which he just realized sounds really bad since he's talking to a foreigner.]

But that was a long time ago now.

Has the Hellmouth always been there? Or does it move?
consultmybooks: (Consult my Books)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-24 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
As far as we know, it's always been there. Or, at the very least, it's been there long enough to have effectively been "always there". But the Spanish were the first ones to actually find and document this one's existence, a couple of hundred years before it properly became "American" territory.

There's another one in Cleveland. And they can open in new locations, under very unfortunate circumstances. But once one has opened, it stays opened. I didn't even know it was possible to close one until Buffy told me that we do just that.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-27 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
[He has no idea where Cleveland is, but he listens intently anyway. That is pretty fascinating stuff.]

Oh! Then you win in the future? That's always good to know!
consultmybooks: (Music Man)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-27 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Giles actually smiles slightly, at this.] Yes, we do. I'm...sort of looking forward to it, really.

Granted, Sunnydale is, um, completely destroyed in the process, but the citizens are evacuated first.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-27 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
[Okita smiles back and the smile turns a little awkward when he hears the last part.]

Oh, well....At least a city can be repaired. If the people are safe, that is what matters, yes?
consultmybooks: (Default)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-11-27 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely. And it's almost certain that, wherever they settle, there will be less vampires and demons. The people in question might even be a bit more watchful about the ones that do continue to trouble them. [Optimism, yes?]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Yay optimism!]

Haha, yes, that is always a good thing. I do hope they learn to be a little more careful.
