[Finally feeling better and able to go out, Okita was having quite a good time seeing everyone else's changes. It wasn't until he woke up this morning and tried to roll out of bed that he noticed something was wrong.

Very wrong.

But, perhaps people wouldn't notice.

Thus, Okita goes about his normal routine. As a woman. He's busy trying to cover that up, however, with a little padding around the waist and by keeping to his usual attire. Particularly attentive people, however, might notice he has a slight bust now and his voice is just a little higher than usual.

People can find him anywhere, from House 50 to the town getting supplies to the Welcome Center or even out on patrols.]

[He laughs, too, and steps forward, poking Giles in the cheek.]

Being so pessimistic isn't good for you, silly.

[Giles takes a step back, out of reach.]

I can't help it. I've never exactly had much to be optimistic about before.

[And he makes a face at Giles moving away, all in jest though.]

[He grimaces theatrically.] I think Kendra and the others would have had me tested for demonic possession.

Or maybe they'd think you'd gone crazy.

[That was total deadpan.

And now he's laughing.]

But I don't think it's so bad to be a little crazy every so often.

[Thank you for that, Okita. Giles looks briefly depressed again over the mention of insanity. It's a touchy subject right now. But when he sees that Okita is only teasing, he manages to shake it off and smile tiredly.]

Depends on your definition, I imagine.

[He smiles at Giles, a little more warmly than before.]

If anything, most people call me crazy.

[Giles looks a little startled, at that.]

Really? I wouldn't have thought so.

[He keeps the smile on his face, but now it seems a bit sad.]

That is because you have never seen me with a sword.

W-Well, um, Kendra mentioned that you were a teacher at her school. [He looks quite concerned at this sudden sadness - Giles isn't used to it, not from Okita.] So I presume you must be very good at fighting.

Yes, I'm a teacher there. I'm in charge of three students right now.

[And even then he tries not to spar them.]

You speak of demons, Giles-san, and they are ones I do not understand. But I am the sort of demon that is common in my time. And even then, I am among the worst.

[Giles voice is adamant.]

That would you say so is comforting, but I make no qualms about it. I am a murderer to most people, the demon swordsman of the Shinsengumi and I am proud of it.

[Giles takes off his glasses and starts cleaning them. This week, so far, has made no sense whatsoever, and he hates that. His voice, when he speaks, is quiet, distant.]

[And that gets another laugh.] Well, I know I have a lot of experience on that score, whichever life I'm actually leading.

But I really just wish the world would learn to stay, um, "saved".

[Okita laughs and adjusts his kimono slightly. His next words are just teasing.]

Oh, but then we'd all be bored and that would be no fun.

[Fortunately, Giles has known Okita long enough to guess as much.]

What about this place, then? Ive always found its lack of apocalypses to be one of its only charms.
