[Finally feeling better and able to go out, Okita was having quite a good time seeing everyone else's changes. It wasn't until he woke up this morning and tried to roll out of bed that he noticed something was wrong.

Very wrong.

But, perhaps people wouldn't notice.

Thus, Okita goes about his normal routine. As a woman. He's busy trying to cover that up, however, with a little padding around the waist and by keeping to his usual attire. Particularly attentive people, however, might notice he has a slight bust now and his voice is just a little higher than usual.

People can find him anywhere, from House 50 to the town getting supplies to the Welcome Center or even out on patrols.

That would you say so is comforting, but I make no qualms about it. I am a murderer to most people, the demon swordsman of the Shinsengumi and I am proud of it.

[Giles takes off his glasses and starts cleaning them. This week, so far, has made no sense whatsoever, and he hates that. His voice, when he speaks, is quiet, distant.]

...sometimes people need a demon.

Sometimes the last thing they need are heroes.

[Okita smiles at him and nods.]

I will bloody my hands for those who cannot.

Buuuut, that is neither here nor there.

[And back to the usual happy-go-lucky face.]

The important thing is that the world isn't gone.

Somewhere, at least. Buffy mentioned that it didn't even end when I thought it did, and it looks as though she's probably right.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Well! Then all is fine, yes?
consultmybooks: (Deeply Concerned)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-12-04 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
W-Well, I still remember it ending.

It's n-not an easy thing to just, well, ignore.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
True, but then you must fix it somehow. Giles-san helps save the world!

[And that gets another laugh.] Well, I know I have a lot of experience on that score, whichever life I'm actually leading.

But I really just wish the world would learn to stay, um, "saved".

[Okita laughs and adjusts his kimono slightly. His next words are just teasing.]

Oh, but then we'd all be bored and that would be no fun.

[Fortunately, Giles has known Okita long enough to guess as much.]

What about this place, then? Ive always found its lack of apocalypses to be one of its only charms.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That's why I get so bored.

[And why he does horrible things like eat a million cakes.

Although he'd like his own body back now, plz.

Maybe you should find a hobby.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh he's really laughing at that one, Giles. Nicely played. Nicely played.]

[Giles tries to stay deadpan and...nope, not happening. He joins in laughing, eventually having to lean against the wall to get his breath back.]

What's so funny? That was some of the most sensible advice I was ever given, you know. I feel it is my responsibility as a friend to pass it along.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's still laughing and wipes away a tear at his eye.]

No, I thank you for it. I just never expected it to come back at me.

I never expected to have chance to give it back.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Then we're both very surprised, aren't we.
