Cakes and pies.

Are amazing.

[After his discussion with Jade about cakes and pies, Okita decided to try some. Like two of each. He's on a pretty intense sugar-rush and will be bouncing around House 50 and all over the village to try and work out the extra energy.

Feel free to run into him and wonder why this grown adult is giggling at nothing or playing with just about anything he finds.]

[Well, since she's not going to attempt another faceplant, he'll hear her yelling from her room.]

The door's not locked!

[He lets himself in and wanders toward Kohaku's room, poking his head through the door.]

Hello there.

[She'll just be laying there, looking pretty bored...which says a lot since she's hardly ever really bored.]

Hello.

[He waves and walks in, carrying a fabric-wrapped package at his side.]

It's never any fun just sitting in bed, is it. Have any of the doctors come to take a look at you?

No...I don't think the doctors would be able to do anything.

Well, perhaps it'll heal or wear off soon enough.

[He sets the package down by Kohaku's bed and smiles at her.]

I'm sorry you're not well though.

It should...it usually does at least.

[She'll be staring at that, and try sitting up now. She's still wobbly about it though.]

...What's in it?

[He nods and moves to help her sit up.]

All the games and things I promised you!

[Once he's sure she's up and steady, he'll open the package to show her about five books of songs, five coloring books, art supplies, card packs, a brush and ink set, paper, two books of simple picture stories that someone can read to her or she can look at, and several wooden puzzles.]

I like to play with these to occupy myself when I'm stuck in bed. I found some new ones for you and you can pick out anything you find interesting.

[She'll just be looking at everything for a moment once she's sitting up.]

Wow...that's a lot.

Well, I didn't know how long you were going to be stuck, so I thought I'd bring everything over. I really like the puzzles! [The songs and the books he got just for her.]

Thank you...I don't know how to do puzzles though. [And learning songs from books is a new concept for her.]

Basically you just put them together until they make the right shape.

[He picks up a bag of one wooden puzzle and takes the pieces out one by one.]

These should all fit together somehow and then it'll make a really nifty shape or object you can keep.

[She'll just be watching carefully.]

...Looks confusing..

That's why they're puzzles. They're meant to be confusing until you start making them.

[And just to show her, he starts putting one together, piece by piece with trial and error.]

Each piece has its place. You just have to find it.

Even then it still looks confusing.

[He laughs a bit and puts it in her hands.]

It's best to try it out yourself to figure it out.

[F-ff, give her some warning next time. She'll almost end up dropping it a few times before she starts looking it over.]

...H-how do you know if it's right?

You'll know because the piece will fit and not move. They'll click into place.

[Sorry, but he's still a bit wired from the candy rush.]

[Wow, he ate way too much sugar then...and please excuse her while she tries to play around with it...and fail completely. She is not good with this. ;;]

[Way too much. He watches her and even if she fails, he encourages her to keep going. Piece by piece, Kohaku! Like...building a garden or something.]

You can do it! It's so much better when you do it yourself. I know you can figure it out.

[B-but...seeing as she fails at almost all movement at the moment, she'll eventually just end up dropping it.]

[He picks it up and holds it out to her again.]

You were really close. Here. I'll hold it. You try to put the pieces in.

[W-why does he want her to try it so bad? She was very content on just giving up right then.

But alright, just give her a few more minutes, and when it finally clicks, she'll look very surprised.]

I knew you could do it!

[He wants her to try because trying new things is important. :) ]
