Cakes and pies.

Are amazing.

[After his discussion with Jade about cakes and pies, Okita decided to try some. Like two of each. He's on a pretty intense sugar-rush and will be bouncing around House 50 and all over the village to try and work out the extra energy.

Feel free to run into him and wonder why this grown adult is giggling at nothing or playing with just about anything he finds.]

Thank you...I don't know how to do puzzles though. [And learning songs from books is a new concept for her.]

Basically you just put them together until they make the right shape.

[He picks up a bag of one wooden puzzle and takes the pieces out one by one.]

These should all fit together somehow and then it'll make a really nifty shape or object you can keep.

[She'll just be watching carefully.]

...Looks confusing..

That's why they're puzzles. They're meant to be confusing until you start making them.

[And just to show her, he starts putting one together, piece by piece with trial and error.]

Each piece has its place. You just have to find it.

Even then it still looks confusing.

[He laughs a bit and puts it in her hands.]

It's best to try it out yourself to figure it out.

[F-ff, give her some warning next time. She'll almost end up dropping it a few times before she starts looking it over.]

...H-how do you know if it's right?

You'll know because the piece will fit and not move. They'll click into place.

[Sorry, but he's still a bit wired from the candy rush.]

[Wow, he ate way too much sugar then...and please excuse her while she tries to play around with it...and fail completely. She is not good with this. ;;]

[Way too much. He watches her and even if she fails, he encourages her to keep going. Piece by piece, Kohaku! Like...building a garden or something.]

You can do it! It's so much better when you do it yourself. I know you can figure it out.

[B-but...seeing as she fails at almost all movement at the moment, she'll eventually just end up dropping it.]

[He picks it up and holds it out to her again.]

You were really close. Here. I'll hold it. You try to put the pieces in.

[W-why does he want her to try it so bad? She was very content on just giving up right then.

But alright, just give her a few more minutes, and when it finally clicks, she'll look very surprised.]

I knew you could do it!

[He wants her to try because trying new things is important. :) ]

It's right?

[Failing at trying new things should count though..]

It is!

[He smiles at her and then puts the next one in after some fumbling. He hands her the next piece after so they can solve it together.

And failing....sort of counts?]

[Oh darnit, there's more...That just means it won't take as long, but she'll get it eventually.

It should!]

[He smiles as she continues to work at figuring it out, putting in the next piece after quite a few tries and failures.]

Do they not have puzzles up in Heaven?

[Well, at least she's not the only one failing a little at this...that makes her feel a little better.]

Not that I know of.

That's too bad. They're really fun once you get the hang of them.

[He drops a piece and picks it back up, handing her the one after it.]

I like doing things with my hands though. It keeps me occupied. What did you do when you were bored in Heaven?

They seem hard to get the hang of though.

[She'll take it, but she's frowning now.]

...I don't remember...I just know I liked to sing.

[He looks at her for a moment, then reconsiders asking about it. Something seems off.]

Well, maybe you sang when you were bored. Or you weren't bored in Heaven all that often.

[Just...more frowning. And she looks like she's trying to remember.]

I don't know...I can't remember.

Perhaps it'll come back to you. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Things always seem a bit hazy after they Malnosso get you.

[Shaking head.] No, they didn't mess with my head. I lost my memories of Heaven when I died.
