The stars are so bright out tonight. If...a bit odd in their patterns. I wonder who the "Great One" is? Whoever he or she is, they certainly made an impression on the stars.

It's almost... [He trails off and just before he switches to a filter, there's a slight grunt of pain.]

Yamazaki-san? If you could...come in here for a moment? I believe I require your assistance. I'm in my room.

Maybe the 'Great One' is some sort of God? I guess the Malnosso would know better than we do though.

Do you think it might be the Malnosso's god? Or maybe one of their leaders.

I'm not quite sure. I don't even think Luceti has any sort of church. [she yawns lightly] Well, it's not nearly as bright as that weird river thing.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Weird...river thing? Oh! That thing Ginko-san was talking about? I'm afraid I'm unable to see it.

You're lucky. I think it's brighter than the sun. Looking at it even a little makes my eyes hurt. The spirits floating around are also a little creepy.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well...my eyes hurt even without it, so I suppose it's not so lucky.

Ah, you can see them? I have heard others speaking of it, but I cannot see them myself.

[voice]

[identity profile] chronica.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Your eyes hurt? Have you been getting enough sleep? [because she knows she hasn't.]

Yeah I can see them. They look...nice I suppose.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[Time to lie~] Perhaps that is why. I work the night shift after all.

Oh, well, that's good then. I was afraid with a name like mushi they might be rather scary.

[voice]

[identity profile] chronica.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Night shift? You have a job here? [she knows some people work in the village, but not usually at night.]

No, not really. They seem pretty friendly actually.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, yes, sort of. I man the Welcome Center for the graveyard shift.

That's good. I hope they're not too frightened in this new place.

[voice]

[identity profile] chronica.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
The Welcome Center? There haven't been New Feathers in months though.

I think anybody new who comes here would be frightened.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Couldn't you call these mushi New Feathers in a way? I don't doubt they're a little scared.

But even if the New Feathers aren't arriving, the center needs to be maintained.

Scared enough to go around infecting people. [feels just like home.]

I guess so. There could be people who need help after all.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, there is that. [And he pauses as he thinks maybe that's why his eyes hurt so much he can't open them.]

And yes, there are always people who could use a bit of help. Whether it's a place to take refuge from the rain or just a nice meal in the early morning.

[voice]

[identity profile] chronica.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It sounds sort of like a homeless shelter. [...] Of course, all of us are homeless really.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a temporary home before they find their own, yes.

And I suppose we are. In a way.

[voice]

[identity profile] chronica.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds silly though. A village of homeless people. [she giggles a little. not that she isn't use to being homeless.] Maybe we should call it something else so it doesn't sound so weird.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-16 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
[He laughs a little, too.] Yes, it does sound silly, doesn't it? I suppose we're more displaced than homeless.

[voice]

[identity profile] chronica.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
That makes it sound like someone arranged us onto the wrong shelves in a store.

Maybe...stranded. Luceti is a bit like an island, only instead of water we have a dessert.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Stranded, then. I suppose that works.
