[Things have been difficult for him lately and he's been avoiding "certain people" with a vengeance, but there is always one thing that he knows can cheer him up.

Souji opens his journal one day and with as bright and cheerful a voice as he can muster (which is kind of like rainbows barfing sunshine) he says:]

So who here is being a grumpy grump after the holidays? I know you're out there~

I've heard of at least two: the one with the spiky hair who hates being asked about it and the one with the skirt who hates it being called a skirt.

There have to be more, aren't there? [He degrades into what sounds like baby talk.] So who's being a grumpy-wumpy bear, hm?

Guess you're right. I don't think we need another destroyed wall here, even if they do grow back.

...Was it Cliff-san or Albel-san responsible for the first one?

...Both, kind of. It's a long story.

But I've put out a window, too, so I kind of wonder how much property damage we can get away with.

I could invite Saizou over and see, if you like? He likes to hit Cliff-san in the forehead. I think he sees it as a challenge since he's so tall.

He's a tall goalpost for a small pig. [A laugh.]

Though you know what they say about pets... they get jealous easily.

He's a very ambitious pig.

Oh and I've heard that, yes, but Saizou's really very good when he wants to be. He can be very sweet to me.

I meant of significant others. [Said with a grin on his face, though Souji can't see it.]

Oh, I suppose that can't be helped. When we first brought Tetsu-kun to the compound, Saizou chased him around for days trying to bite him and he was only a new page.

But I'm sure Cliff-san can deal with it. Maybe it can be agility training for him.

Agility training, huh? [Fayt cracks a laugh.]

If he keeps that up for days that'll be a workout to remember, that's for sure.

For days, hm? I guess his stamina is higher than most people's. I wonder if Saizou will be able to keep up.

I wouldn't know if he could keep it up for days, but he's definitely got stamina in a fight at least.

Weeeell, we'll find out soon enough. He's agreed to the challenge and Saizou seems very excited about the idea of being allowed to chase Cliff-san wherever he goes.

[Souji, evil? Nooooooo, whatever gave you that idea?]

[And that gets another laugh.]

Try to make sure he doesn't run him too ragged, alright? You might have to carry him back if he keeps it up for days.

Oh, I don't think I could carry him - he's much too big for that. I'll just have Tammy drag him back on a sleigh. That should work fine, yes?

Should work, yeah. [Though Cliff's dignity would be a bit damaged by it.

Then again, losing to a pig would damage it, too.]

I'll have Tammy ready then. She likes to run in the snow, so it should be rather easy to get her to agree.

You'll just have to handle Cliff-san after he loses to Saizou.
