[From mid-morning to noon, Okita is at the fountain in town, watching all the crazy people wandering around and launching little sailboats across the water. Occasionally his pig will pop his head up, crush one of the boats, and drag it under the water again. Looks like someone is playing pretend at being a sea monster. Come say hello?]

Hahaha. I'm going to run out of boats at this rate, Saizou.

Nill? [He reads the card and smiles, handing it back to her.] It's nice to meet you. My name is Soujirou. This is my pet, Saizou.

[Saizou pops his head out of the water to breathe.]

[Oooh, hello. Okita looks up and Saizou springs out of the water, grunting. Sadly, he cannot get up over the edge of the fountain without help so he just stands on his back legs, scrabbling his hooves at the edge.]

It was warm out so I took him for a swim. Hello, Homura-san. How are you?

Hawk, actually. You've seen him, haven't you?

[Yes, he remembers the hawk now. He hadn't realized it was a pet.]

Yes, I have. I don't quite think eating chicken and keeping a hawk is the same thing, Sokka-kun.

I don't know. I've never tasted it. [He can't imagine it being very tasty.]

Well enough. I seem to have been fortunate enough to be overlooked this time.

[Homura glances at Saizou, struggling so hard to get Okita's attention, then back to the man himself.]

And you? I hope you've lost your desire to eat yourself out of a home.

[Nill is confused until the little pig's head pops out of the water, which startles Nill back a little bit. But once she gets a good look at Saizou, she's fascinated. He looks like a little version of those mean bikers!]

[...so cute, though. She wishes she could pat him, but the thorns might hurt him. Maybe some other time, once the spell is broken.]

[For the time being, Nill takes out her notecards again and writes another note on one she's already written: 'It's nice to meet you! Do people keep pigs as pets where you're from?' Dogs and cats were far more popular where Nill was from.]

Saizou.

[He calls and the pig perks up, trotting/swimming over. Okita leans over and picks him out of the water, setting him down on the fountain rim. The pig shakes the water off and looks at both Okita and Selphie expectantly.]

Saizou, sit.

[Oh, what. The pig snorts and sits, looking at Okita balefully. This is what he gave up his playtime for?]

[That stutter is weird, too. Hm. He smiles and reaches out, taking hold of the boat so Saizou can't drag it too far.]

Has anything happened lately? Anything fun?

[After breathing, Saizou sinks back down and Okita laughs, looking at the card.]

Oh, not really. I think I might be the only one, but I took a liking to him.

[He leans over and plucks the pig from the water. Saizou squeals and kicks, but can't get away.]

Saizou, say hello.

[Giving up the pig goes limp and looks at Nil, grunting once.]

Saizou, we're going to get a watermelon!

[At the mention of food, Saizou leaps out of the water and almost straight into Okita's arms. He takes a towel out of his sleeve to wipe the pig's feet off with and smiles at Smoker.]

Hm~ That's too bad. [He laughs and looks at Saizou, leaning over to pat him on the head. The pig calms and snorts.]

Is that what she told you? I only tried once or twice. It doesn't taste very good.

... you don't know what steaks are. [Just shaking his head now.] It's only the manliest of all meats.
