[Been awhile, hasn't it, Luceti? Okita ended up staying at the Battle Dome clinic a LOT longer than he meant to in order to wait out a fever and his coughing. He's finally well enough to go home and so he's on his way toward House 50.

If you can catch him before he hits the house, you might actually get a chance to see him for the first time in a long time.

After he gets to the house, he'll likely be sealing himself off again. Shinpachi is missing, Sanosuke is out looking for him, Ayumu is hovering, and he simply isn't in the mood to see an empty room next to his anymore.

Before he leaves, however, he'll post up a note on the network.]

To the doctors at the battle dome clinic? Thank you for all your help. I appreciate you allowing me to stay so long.

I suppose it's almost time for the New Feathers to appear, hm? I should be able to resume my duties at the Center soon enough.

One of us has been in the clinic for several weeks.

[Turnabout is fair play - he's actually still trying very, very hard to deal with the fact that the man who murdered him has shown up in the village. But Giles has had his fair share of practice, in that regard.]

Oh no, you were in the clinic? How terrible.

[Playing dumb is fun and so is teasing. He smiles again and then bows his head slightly.]

I'm better now, however. Don't worry. Have you settled back in after everything that happened?

Not since getting bitten by a vampire, and that was months ago.

...I should hope McCoy is a decent enough doctor to not let you out if you weren't better. And yes, I'm...settling in. Buffy is already making plans to have my penalty removed. Helios and Frederic seemed glad to have me back.

[Vampires.......so unsure about them still.] Oh. Well, that's good.

About all of it. Is the penalty giving you much trouble?

[Some of them aren't bad. Some like tea, and hate drinking blood.]

Not very much, not if I...don't pay it too much attention. If that makes any sense at all, of course, which it doesn't even to me.

No, I suppose it makes...some sense. As long as you ignore it, you can simply forget it's there.

I don't really know. It all falls into a realm of "I don't really understand it" so I never thought to ask.

Luceti does seem to have a lot of that.

...granted, I have the time to think about such things. Always have.

It passes the time, at the very least.

I like to pass the time in other ways. Like making paper animals. Or going on walks.

Walks are nice. I enjoy the river especially. It provides several opportunities for meditation, as well.

Do you still paint rocks?

It does. And I do sometimes. Not as much as before now that I'm training, but yes, sometimes.

I always thought they were quite nice rocks.

...can't really comment on the paper animals, though. Never had the knack for origami or anything of that nature.

[He laughs a bit.] Thank you. I could always teach you how to fold origami. It isn't so hard.

You say that now, but I might prove you wrong.

...I wouldn't mind learning, though, if you're offering.

I don't mind teaching. It's much easier than teaching someone the sword at least.

Perhaps one day when you're not busy?

I should hope so. And I know swords well enough, thanks.

One day. Hopefully one day soon. Perhaps around the same time I finally manage to take Ayumu-san up on her invitation to stop by for dinner.

It's not ridiculous. But it's time you started dropping in for tea and dinners like others, right? There isn't much else to do here but socialize.

Although now that I can see again, I'm hoping to occupy some of my time working on our boat.
