[It's such a nice day out that Okita has decided to take the House 50 pets for a walk. Around mid-morning after he finishes his training, Okita can be found wandering around the village with the yellow chocobo Tammy in tow. And on her back? A disgruntled Saizou, wishing he could be down from the heathen bird. Tammy doesn't seem to care since Okita keeps plying her with treats to ensure she follows.

As he walks, he'll open the journal and turn on the video, showing him and the bird in the background.]

It's such a nice day out~

I wonder if everyone's in school or if they're on break~?

Are all the New Feathers settled in? If anyone would like a tour around town today, I'll be out with Saizou and Tammy~ Dog, unfortunately, can't take walks. Poor thing. But! That's okay~ He's happy at home. Come say hello! I really want to meet all of you.

He isn't that bad, silly. [Okita is laughing, but behind him, Saizou is bristling.]

He doesn't dislike you. If he did, he'd be trying to bite your face.

Oh, good. Glad to know there's still some hope for our relationship. [Sarcasm. Giles has it.]

[....Hur? Okita didn't understand any of that, but he'll try to respond.]

Her name is Tammy. I don't know what she is really.

[He shakes his head.] Where are you now?

... I could probably use a tour. [All right, so he knows where a few of the main buildings are, but he hasn't gotten the rest of the place down quite yet.]

[When Homura steps into the path, Okita pauses slightly. It's easier to see him again in a way, but also a bit harder. After all, this is the man that Ayumu spent over a week thinking was her husband. And he spent the time thinking he was his father.

His father...who died because of him. But it isn't Homura's fault and it isn't like he knows. Okita was very careful not to tell anyone about his dreams.]

Hello, Homura-san. [The bird warks over his shoulder and Okita reaches up, petting her beak.] She's quite well behaved, I'll have you know. We're on a walk. Would you like to join us?

Mm...Not far from the house. I can come back and get you.

That's all right. I can meet you.

[The corner of his mouth quirks slightly.] I'll just look for the bird. Which way from the house?

Well, you know. It's not that hard when... I live just over there. [He says as he glances back at his house. Yup, still in plain sight.]

But I've got something for you.

Alright~

Head out to your left. I'm by the large community building number four. Take the turn there and I'm down the road.

[He laughs.] I suppose that's true.

...Something for me?

[Hijikata nods, leaving the book open in one hand as he heads out. It is a nice day.]

On my way.

Yeah, your sword. The one you ordered, remember?

[He has it over his shoulder, even. He shrugs off the strap and sheath and holds it out. It's definitely one of Sokka's better works. The sheath is similar to to his own, though suited for a katana. The blade is sharp, solid, and all that good stuff. On one side his name is inscribed (索卡) and on the other is Souji's (総司). Just like Sokka said it would.]

[Sorry, Okita. This is Robert in full-on astrobiologist mode.]

Would you... h-happen to know somebody who might know her species, then?

... Would she perhaps know?

[There is a wavery, watery quality about Robert's voice right now that might suggest to Okita that he has been having a hard time, and that this exchange is something that serves mostly to cover other stuff.

... Or if he fails as hard at emotion as Robert does he might not notice anything, but hey.]

[Correction: at least she didn't catch him trying to take the fish along.]

...don't encourage her, Okita-san.

I thought perhaps we could do with some pigs or chickens, but if you intend to take all the animals for walks I might reconsider the idea.

[Eiko has never been so happy to see a chocobo! So Okita will be seeing a little girl very comfortably walking over to the bird, and going to be trying to pet it.

She's pretty good with chocobos back home, so she's just hoping this one won't try to eat her.]

[No, but Homura suspects. The dreams affected everyone, after all, down to their behavior. Even if Okita carefully kept the contents of those nightmares secret, that he too had been plagued by them is simply the natural assumption.]

Less so when I first met her. You had left Ayumu to catch the creature on her own.

[Which had been fortunate for Homura, in the end. But that isn't the point.]

If your company doesn't mind. You seem to have quite the parade going here.

I'll take your word for it.

But that's good to hear, about Tammy. She's actually quite a nice...giant chicken.

That...bird is. It's really a big chicken, isn't it?

Hey, no harm done, right? [And possibly just to bug the pig more, Wally tries to pet his head before following Okita's gaze towards Tammy.]

Other than that. Guess I better fix my mess.

[He carefully heads over towards the bird, hoping if he's slow and careful enough - so much so that it's way more frustrating than normal - he can catch a hold of it without having to do any tricks with his speed.]

I'm not sure if she's a chicken or something else, but she certainly looks like one.

[Tammy warks and looks at Sano's hair, tilting her head.]

[He laughs at that memory, but Tammy seems confused, warking and nudging Okita for another handful of food.]

It was a good day, I think. For everyone.

[Pulling a few more greens out of the bag at his side, Okita holds them up to encourage her to keep walking.]

Oh, I don't think they mind at all. It's good to see you again.

He's still just a baby, Giles-san. And a pig. He's not too hard to please.

She is! She's growing very well actually. When you're able, you should come by and play with her.

[He turns his head slightly when he sees the stranger approach, but when she goes straight to Tammy, he smiles. Tammy doesn't mind being pet and simply warks at her.]

[Ffff, nah, I think he would have left Dog at home. It is a fish after all.]

Not all the animals, just the ones that need to be walked.

It's a bit sad to leave her in her pen all day, don't you think?
