o39 [Action]
[Finally feeling better and able to go out, Okita was having quite a good time seeing everyone else's changes. It wasn't until he woke up this morning and tried to roll out of bed that he noticed something was wrong.
Very wrong.
But, perhaps people wouldn't notice.
Thus, Okita goes about his normal routine. As a woman. He's busy trying to cover that up, however, with a little padding around the waist and by keeping to his usual attire. Particularly attentive people, however, might notice he has a slight bust now and his voice is just a little higher than usual.
People can find him anywhere, from House 50 to the town getting supplies to the Welcome Center or even out on patrols.]

This is a strange experiment.
no subject
It is. It's several things all at once it seems.

no subject
Yes. Other changes. Not exactly comfortable ones.
no subject
And people acting oddly.
no subject
.....
[Staring at her.]
Are you quite alright?
no subject
Yes.
Why do you ask?
no subject
[Maybe because this version of Ayu-nee is just like wat wat wat]
no subject
So she hesitates a moment before finally asking.]
Is something different?

She hesitates to consider the question from as many angles as she can, expression unchanging as she does.]
Depends on the difference.

How big?
[...she didn't used to be a boy, did she? Because that would just be... strange.]

Ayumu hesitates just a little too long to be casual about it, this time.]
I don't understand.
no subject
Perhaps then I shouldn't say anything more.
no subject
...perhaps.

Her frown deepens slightly.]
"Grow" out of it, Okita-san?
no subject
Whatever the experiment has done to you.
no subject
Still, though, Okita is a captain and deserves respect, etc, so she just files it away for further investigation rather than pressing the point. Even if she is incredibly curious about the fact that he's looking forward to a return to whatever he considers "normal" for her.]
I see.
...
I should return to my rounds.
no subject
He's going to look away for a moment.]
I should probably get back to mine, too. There's so much to do.
[And as he turns away, he'll pause and smile faintly.]
I think this is a good thing though, Ayumu-san. Maybe there's something to be learned from it all.
no subject
Well, it's something to be considered, at least. Perhaps one of the others will let something drop that answers her silent questions, especially combined with what Okita said. Ayumu is nothing if not patient, and good at collecting information.
She bows her head slightly, then steps back and disappears into the shadows between the buildings to resume her interrupted rounds. There's nothing more for her to say, at the moment.]
