Well...at least I can move the mask to the side. How is everyone else doing with their costumes? Isn't the town interesting? I've never seen anything like it! It's so strange~

[Souji is dressed like this with a mask like the ones to the right, but moved to the side so it doesn't cover his face. He doesn't like his costume at all. It brings back bad memories. But taking it off did nothing and he hates just sitting in his room all day.

If people are out and about, he can be found just about anywhere in town looking at the decorations, poking at the buildings, or taking Saizou for a walk. Eventually, he'll end up back at House 50 with Saizou in tow so he can feed the little piglet before the pig decides to eat someone.]

A curse, perhaps. It's an experiment. The Malnosso have dressed people up against their will and changed the town to match a foreign holiday called Halloween. That is why I dress like your kin. If anything, it is not an intentional dishonor and if possible, I would remove it. Unfortunately, I cannot.

[The tension in the air is almost tangible. Ninetails stares directly in his eyes, sizing him up and trying to decide if it'd be worth it to kill him. So far, he was answering her questions, but if and when she runs out of questions, or he doesn't answer...]

Halloween? [One ear flicks and she glances around the town absently.] Peculiar. I seem to have been excluded from the festivities. But I do sense the forces of darkness gathering - gaining a great power, and a great evil approaches. ...You'd be wise to not travel alone, human.
