[He's humming to himself as he doodles in his journal; the sound of crickets chirping indicates it's rather late at night and yet he's still awake. The page quickly fills up with drawings of grumpy looking piglets chasing after butterflies, gnawing on reed shoes, or sitting in the grass and flowers until there's almost no space left. Then, very small in the corner, a grumpy looking man with long dark hair and a Japanese pipe is drawn.]

Funny... I used to tease them all for how loud they snored at night.

...and now I can't sleep if they're not. I wonder how long it'll be until I grow accustomed to this.

[He closes the journal and the sound cuts out.]

Oh, this is true. That's a bit reassuring, isn't it? When we go home, our pets won't have been sad at all.

It seems strange though...to think that not a day will have passed when it's already been a week for me here.

How long have you been here?

Oh! And I can't believe I didn't ask this earlier. What is your name?

I can see how a month here might feel like a long time. I've only been here a week so far.

You'd be surprised at how often I find myself doing that exact thing. I don't mind it. [Pauses for a moment as if considering something.] It's a pleasure to meet you, though, Mukuro-kun. You have a very interesting name. I am Okita Souji.

Ah, yes, that's the term for me, isn't it. I'm hardly a strong person, Mukuro-kun. I'm just lucky in that, as you said, the people here are quite kind.

[And he sounds curious now] Do you dislike your name?

I never said I accepted it. It's just...perhaps I still just pretend it's a dream. A very long dream. Or maybe it's something else. Who knows~

[He seems to be considering this and then breathes out, smiling faintly into the little icon window.] A name is not everything. And it can be changed, should you decide to.

[He hesitates at that, but finally laughs] Yes, perhaps we are.

I used to dislike my name when I was younger, too. It's funny how such things grow on you after awhile, hm?

After coming here, I can't discount anything, Mukuro-kun.

Hm~ That is one way to think of it, yes.

[He laughs and his bed creaks as he rolls over on it] I'm only teasing, Mukuro-kun. Of course we're not imaginary. That'd just be silly.

And my opinion? Hm...I wonder what it is. I suppose I started to hear a different meaning in the word and came to like it.

[Oh, if only they knew. He laughs again and starts drawing on a free page in his journal - so Mukuro will start seeing pigs again soon.] I hope I didn't worry you then.

And yes, that is indeed the most important thing in the end. As long as we're happy.

[He draws a little pig looking up at Mukuro with a heart over its head] Hardly. I just thought I'd give you something to take your mind off the previous conversation. Saizou says hello~

[He giggles and draws a new pig, with a plate of tricolored dango sitting on its head] Ken is really cute! Would you like some sweets?

[He laughs and then redraws Saizou to be looking at the mouse in annoyance] Saizou is such a grumpy thing. He'd probably just do this.

[And now Okita is drawing a small version of himself giving Mukuro a stick of the dango.]
