Cakes and pies.

Are amazing.

[After his discussion with Jade about cakes and pies, Okita decided to try some. Like two of each. He's on a pretty intense sugar-rush and will be bouncing around House 50 and all over the village to try and work out the extra energy.

Feel free to run into him and wonder why this grown adult is giggling at nothing or playing with just about anything he finds.]

We have fruit! Or mochi. Or sugar sweets. There's the ones made from sweet beans, too, but they're kind of expensive even though they're worth it because they're really pretty. Kondo-san really liked the candies made from black sugar - those are crunchy.

But they're very good! Almost as good or even better than these things, but I think they have less sugar in it, I don't know. I usually don't get like this when I have as much of the manju or karintou.

Yeah, most sweets have sugar. You might want to lay off on them.

Well, I know that, silly! I didn't have much though. Is there more sugar in cakes than manju?

How can rice and beans look like cake? Those are on two totally different ends of the food spectrum.

[Ron's gotten himself caught up with doodling in his journal, from random designs to fairly well thought-out scenes of what looks to be some sport played on broomsticks. He'll be oblivious to anyone's presence for a bit, given his natural obliviousness in such matters.]

[Okita comes up and sees the redhead on his porch, engaged in something, so he walks up quietly, trying to get a peek at what he's doing. It takes some maneuvering, but eventually he gets into a position where he can somewhat see the drawings.]
