It would seem that everyone has been getting letters? I'm seeing all sorts of buzz over this - over who this Tyr person is, over whether or not it's a trap or our only option to be free. So many people are talking about staying, but I have a question.

Who is going to go?

[Filtered to Shinpachi Nagakura | pretty much hackable since he fails]

Nagakura-san? Have you received one as well? What do you think? A chance to go home or a trap?

...[And now he's just laughing outright.] That must have been quite the surprise for her!

Well, you can try again when the weather turns to spring, hm?

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:46 am (UTC)(link)
It was. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could've been.

Perhaps, though I'd rather start planning now as to how I'm going to build new ones with the limited amount of materials we do have. I already lost most of it due to the water.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
Could you have sent the entire house to visit the rabbits on the moon?

Oh, that's a good idea. The winter is a great time to start plans for spring.

...will it be hard to replace the materials?

I don't think there are rabbits on the moon, Okita.

It's also a good time to spend with friends, I suppose. I sort of miss the university back home.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 12:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course there are. You can see the shape of one pounding mochi when the moon is full.

Yes, it is. We used to roast fruit and sweet potatoes in the yard when it got cold. What sort of things did you do at home during the winter?

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
That's strange. According to the books here, there shouldn't be enough oxygen on the moon for any living creature to be able to live in it.

Go to school and spend the holidays with my classmates. There wasn't a lot to do during then.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 12:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Well...that's what we see when we look at the moon. A big rabbit, pounding mochi.

Did you have a lot of classmates? I bet Alfons-kun was really popular~

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It must be just a difference in culture.

Popular? Well, I wouldn't say I was really. I'm just a regular student.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, I suppose it is! What do you see when you look at the moon?

I've never been to a regular school. What is it like?

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose... an opportunity.

I guess it's pretty interesting, if you like to learn things that is. What is it about school you want to know about?

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Oppor-- Oh~ right.[He smiles and nods]

Mm...what sort of things do you learn? I grew up in a dojo, and before that my sisters taught me to read and write, so I can't really imagine going to a temple school and just...studying all day long.

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It really depends on your level of education. For younger students, mostly you'd have to tackle general subjects like history, science, mathematics, language and the likes. Once you've received a higher for of education, you normally indulge yourself into more specialized studies. In my case, I studied Rocketry for a while.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
So...after I finished everything, I could have studied swordsmanship?

Or is that not a normal field of study in the future?

And what do you mean for awhile? Did you have to stop?

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't believe it was common in the institution, but I suppose there might have been a small chance that working in the military would teach you swordsmanship.

Not exactly, it was cut short by an... unfortunate event.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm~ That's too bad. That's what I did at home. I learned the basics from my sisters and Kondou-san, and then studied swordsmanship after that.

...the war?

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It's different from person to person, and culture to culture as well.

No, I come from after the Great War. It's nothing, don't worry about it.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see. I understand that. When I see the moon, it's always a very unpleasant color.

And if you say so. Oh! You should try the sweets and tell me what you think. If you like them, I can write down the recipe for you.

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it? Why is... Oh, I almost forgot! [And he'll just open them and try some, because Japanese sweets tend to be a lot sweeter than he was used to though, it takes him a while to actually comment.]

It's unusual, but it's good.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-12-01 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
[He laughs at Alfons' hesitation]

If it's too sweet, you can say so, you know. I'm still learning after all.

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-12-01 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just not used to the taste, that's all.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-12-02 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Alfons-kun is so cute. I'll try to make them a little less sweet next time.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-12-02 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
I'll try to bring the next batch by before the gate opens then.

[identity profile] nicht-ein-traum.livejournal.com 2009-12-02 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
You don't have to go through that much trouble.

[identity profile] ahappylie.livejournal.com 2009-12-02 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, it's no trouble. I have nothing much to do until the Gate arrives anyway.
